It protects your amplifier from being damaged by lightning.
Coax Cables:
One 30 foot length of super low loss LMR400e coax cable to go from outside antenna to lightning fuse. "N" Male connectors on each end.
One 2 foot length of super low loss LMR400e coax cable to go from lightning fuse to amplifier.
One 20 foot length of super low loss LMR400e coax cable to go from amplifier to inside dome antenna. "N" Male connectors on each end.
Note: System will work without a Lightning Fuse, but we highly recommend it to resist a power surge from traveling through it*.
AT&T customers: AT&T has implemented an "overlay/underlay' network in most or all areas where they broadcast both 800 MHz and 1900 MHz. This means signal strength coming from AT&T for each frequency will vary, depending upon level of usage. If you get a single frequency kit, like this 800 MHz there will likely be times when you get no benefit from it if it becomes "full". To make sure you get a cell phone signal all of the time you need a true dual band cell phone signal booster - repeater, like our 801245 C for 4-6 cell phones/computer air cards in use at the same time, or our 801400.

How Cell Phone Booster - Repeaters Work:
For incoming calls, the outside antenna boosts the cell phone signals and sends them to the amplifier. The amplifier then boosts cell phone signals much more and sends them through the inside antenna which broadcasts it over a given area.
The system is bi-directional, so for outgoing calls the sequence is reversed.
